postheadericon My Awesome Little Helper

My toddler daughter SAM, just turned 21 months old can already do a lot. She can't speak that much yet and I even think she's a little delayed because of her oral aversion., but nonetheless because she can already utter few words and keeps on imitating me when talking to her (not every time but when she's relax, she's always on the go, as in curious in everything her hand can reach). I just have to keep closely on her speech development and eating status. And teach her more.

It has been months (maybe two or three months ago or so), she started keeping an eye on my feet that every time my feet are naked, she has to find my slippers or shoes and put it back on. It has been her habit, I think, and it amazes me. She's very busy toddler but never forgot to take a look at my feet if it has slippers/shoes on. Ha! She can also open our door bathroom as well as close the doors every time it is open. Looks like she's a door guard, I always tease that to her. :) She can do much more like putting trash in a trashcan, and the likes.

She can also relay a thing on her hand from our living room and just give instruction to give it to her dad in the bedroom --- she always does it perfect. She's a perfect little helper! ;-)

My SAM now understands more and I feel happy with that!

postheadericon Is it True that I Should Not Pick my Daughter Up When She Falls?

That seems to be easier said than done. As parents, we can’t help but being overprotective at times and make sure no harm comes to our child or children. In some instances, though, it is better to let them be. Anyway, I got a reliable source that, a toddler’s body is its own cushion, because of her size. She is closer to the ground, so the impact is minimal; also she is well-protected with baby fat. The skull is also flexible because the fontanels or the soft spot has not closed completely yet, so the child can usually take slight bumps on the head without much damage. I have learned that overprotecting our toddler to prevent falls will only lead her to fall down more often, since it is only by falling that a child learns to master her own two feet. Also, cuddling much our baby when she has to walk, will only make her more fearful later on in life, inhibit her gross motor development like jumping and running and stifle her natural drive to explore. However, these don’t mean you shouldn’t keep a watchful eye on your toddler when she or he is playing.

Always baby-proof!

postheadericon Cute Stuffs for Baby Sarah

While Sarah is sleeping, I have time to do my online activities. Talking about online activitites such as updating my blogs, visiting my virtual friends on Facebook, or talking with my family back home. And if I still have time, I tried to search for baby clothes again. Sarah has lots of baby clothes but I couldn't help myself not to shop for her clothes, accessories and even toys. I wouldn't mind if I don’t shop for myself. I just love to see cute baby stuffs for her and if only Sarah has long hair, I so love those hair accessories which I have found online. Anyway, cute hair clips will do on her hair, but I am scared if she pulls it and plays with it. I know it is not safe for Sarah to play hair clips. I also found cute stuff toys at the store nearby and I wanted to buy it if money is available. DH always remind me not to shop too many clothes for Sarah because she couldn't wear it for the long time because babies grow so fast, and I agree with him. Even so, honestly, I still shop Sarah’s clothes, and I sometimes hide it. Ha! A few days later, hubby will know it but he can do nothing but to smile when he sees that her daughter is so lovely with her new dress. :-)

postheadericon Looking/Checking for Playard!

My baby has been moving around, rolling-over and such so pretty a lot. Right now, my husband and I put a  big blanket in our living room along with some barriers at the sides so she won't go to the bare carpet. We made this as a  little playground more than of what her crib space is. Last night I was just checking in the kitchen and minute after I got back, she was not in the blanket (she likes being in the bare carpet to pick-up little spaces or just picking the carpet strands) anymore, I thought my husband picked her up and brought her in the living room. I still called her and hovering my eyes anywhere in the area. Only to find-out she was already near the door, in the shoes area and about to taste the test of the shoes. Grrr!

I hurriedly picked her up, of course.

I just then realized she needs a sturdy playard not the play yard, just like a fence so even if she rolls-over and whatever she likes, she is still in one area, safe and also secure. Also, she can learn how to stand and make steps (hopefully very soon) just like in the crib area. With that, I began to search for that playard. There are actually different kinds, there metal, plastic and such. I just have to choose the savvy kind and quality one which best for her.

Crossing my fingers. :-)

postheadericon Making Sounds, Imitating, Following

This Sam of mine is always on-the-go of making sounds at eleven months. Okay, not all the time, I am just pointing-out the time that she's of just herself. Well, not mostly, she also does it it even at the crowded voices of my husband and I and even with the sounds of an electronic. Whenever she feels like babbling, she does all the way. Ha! I like hearing those babbles and such. Even the shouting, I love it! It just shows that she is learning how to talk.

Aside from making sounds, she is also into imitating of what I am doing. Like playing with her, she is doing what I am doing and laugh after such. Yes, she loves playing. I can only wish of 24/7 being beside her (without eating, cleaning myself, cleaning the house, etc) to play all the way. Ha!

She can even follow what I like her to do. Okay, not yet of doing chores, alright? Wink. ;-) Just like doing peek-a-boo, passing things from her hand to my hand, doing snort like a pig, beautiful eyes, give-me-five, and many more stuffs she likes and laugh at the end of an activity. I find it cute, if not, then I do not know what you are thinking. Ha! Smile. :-)

postheadericon Affordable Health Insurance

As my lovely daughter grows bigger and bigger, I believe it is just right to start planning for her future journey especially that we do not know what will happen tomorrow. With the fact that we all know that life is full of uncertainties and no one knows what lies ahead of us, so there is no right time to start preparing for her future but now. So hubby and I were talking about getting her a health insurance just in case some untoward circumstances (crossing fingers and not praying for it) might happen, then came the dilemma of where to start looking for an affordable health insurance. Knowing about Obamacare, I think this web site helps me and the people better understand of what is it about and can help find assistance in any state where I/we live. What could be better?!

Alright, since I have been on the Internet for most of the day, being a full-time stay at home mom, I stumble in a company that for me is straight forward in helping people find the right and appropriate health insurance. They also laid down various alternatives for you to choose so you can easily decide the best options that you should take wherever state you are located. And nowadays, it is just so easy to look for insurance quotes and services from reliable companies with the help of the Internet. It is great that it is no longer hard to get information before even showing up to sign the dotted line.

postheadericon Why Kids Need to Play

One of the important developmental tasks of the kids, is acquiring the preliminary training and experience needed to become a better one. The foundations for socialization are laid as a number of contacts young children have with their peers increases each passing year. Not only do they play more with other but also talk more with them. Thru playing, children socialized with their peer and if young children enjoy their contacts with others, even if they are only occasional, their attitudes toward future social contacts will be more favorable. And thru playing with their peers also give confident to have contacts with others. And as we all know, being at this stage pass through once in a life time. They will never be a kid anymore after this developmental stage of our life, so kids need to play this time for enjoyment and also in order to build their trust with other.

postheadericon How to Accomplish a Simple Task

I am a busy mom, when our little Sam is awake then I cannot do anything. I must have to focus on her. This is my journey with my one and only Sam. I want to dedicate most of my time to her! So accomplishing a simple task is most impossible to me now, ooh yeah when she is awake. I know mommies out there you know already what is the way to accomplish such online tasks. The only way is to wait until your kids fall asleep! I only have one Sam but feels like so busy as a bee! Yes, looks like I have a twin. :-) Well, just thankful that sometimes Sam loves to cooperates with her mom (alright, she has only one mom and that is me. *wink*). She is not lazy, sometimes she is beside me and while mommy is busy typing on keyboard! A multi-tasking mom is trying to accomplish simple task at the same time!

Anyway, as the days goes by my dear baby is now growing! She has now a lot of new things that makes us more happier than before! Her dad is so proud of her!

postheadericon A Jolly Mommy is a Jolly Baby

I don't know if you believe that but I believe so. It is not to brag but I see myself a happy person, a jolly one. I don't like giving the negative thoughts an idea for me to be wicked, to be a weak. That is not me. If I have some problems, I have to solve it calmly, not by talking it to everyone to have their sympathy and pity on me unless if it's time for me to give-up to which I cannot do it my own. I call that a happy, jolly one. If it's not what you think or reject my thought, then I don't know what you're thinking. I just hope it's positive since if it's the opposite, it won't give you a lift, raise you up and higher than me that way. Hep!

Alright, beware of the negative vibes, I believe so. "Break the chain connecting to the negative things, negative people and alike" because it won't give us a good life, but lead to destruction, I so believe. Hence, let's be optimistic and lively because our child/children/peers and even stranger will imitate that to us, don't you think so? You know we bond with them.

Have a great day/night mommy/ies and everyone!

postheadericon Everyday is A Miracle With my Daughter Sam

I take care of my little girl. I am a homemaker. A housewife. A Stay-At-Home-Wife. A Stay-At-Home-Mom. Whatever you call it. I am a full-time wife and mommy. I take care of my family 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week and 365 days a year. And I do not have regrets of being like this. In fact, I am even very grateful of what I am now. Of what I have now. I have a beautiful daughter and a great husband. What more can I ask? :-) A happy me. A happy family I have. That is all that matters. There are trials but that is normal in life. Life is not perfect but it is beautiful, very beautiful, that we have to see it. I believe of "count your blessings" , not the trials. Wink.

Whenever I look at my little lady Sam, I can always think of being with her is a miracle. Everyday is a miracle. God is so good that He let knowledgeable and talented people, great friends and family surrounds us. I am very much grateful everyday! This journey of life we have is just great. And this is all because of God. Almighty God is great, isn't He? Yes, He really is!

postheadericon Baby Responds

Not through talking but through actions and her tricks. Though she can already say "mamma" , "mammam" , or even "mommy" she cannot talk yet. Aside from saying such words, she responds and imitates me whenever I shout (of course just only in a little voice, or not that loud), make sounds like "hmm" , "huh" and to name just a few whenever I call her, as well as smiles and laughs at me. Those are just signs of responding me, answering me. That is interesting, isn't it? ;-)

Lately, she also has her own tricks and I do not know where she got it but she does it whenever she gets excited, happy, or sometimes do not like. It is her own way to which I now know. My Sam amazes me!

I will show you her video doing her own tricks or way next time. 'Til then. Have a great Monday everyone!

postheadericon Can Already Stand in Her Crib Rails from Sitting

Yay! I am just so happy tonight that I saw my baby daughter Sam can already stand on her own in the crib. Yes, in her crib, just about an hour ago and she continues to do it until now. I think she got fascinated of her new journey, that is why she keeps on doing it. Just because she can manage to do it. OMG! Supposed-to-be she should be sleeping now but she won't. Alright, we have to dim our home now and be silent so she would sleep. There are tomorrows anyway to do it again and again. :-)

I feel happy seeing her achievement. I call it "achievement" because she is doing it by herself. Now, it's easy for her to hold and crib rails and manage to stand just in the snap of my finger. Yes, we have to keep the rails high so when she's there standing she won't fall-off separate from the crib. It is okay for her to fall-down in the crib because there are bumpers all-over and the bed is soft and there are only soft teeth-er around which would not harm her. But of course, I do not like seeing her her falling down if not for a "normal" thing. Good thing, she is holding strong. But of course, I am always near her to support in case she feels uncomfortable or in difficult situations. Sometimes, a child needs to experience difficulty to be stronger, but of course, just sometimes.

She can already balance of sitting by her own when she was about six months and now about nine months, she can already stand in her crib from sitting. Doing such by holding the rails of the crib. Happy me! :-) When letting her sit and can grasp the crib rails (even if she's far from it), then expect that anytime from that, she is already standing. :-)

postheadericon Crying When Seeing No One

My baby love, daughter Sam is now in transition from caring no one is around her or not, not likes to be with someone/everybody in the house. She gets irritated or crying when she cannot see me or anyone near her, most especially if you are playing with her then later you will go somewhere like to the comfort to pee or so, she cries. I found that cute and funny at times. Sometimes it is trouble since I have to tag her along wherever I am like in front of stove to boil water to warm her milk at the same time making her milk or to the comfort room. Nevertheless, she is a darling and I am complaining or minding of tagging her along with me everywhere as long as she is comfortable. Never mind my needs as long as she hers first. She is helpless without me, on the other hand, I can do everything like walking and alike, but not my Sam. An infant has just a low immune system. So I have to attain her needs or even her wants first than my needs.

She laughs and smiles a lot so that's a very big bonus to me. She never gets wary to anybody. But of course, infant should need to be away from the crowd  most of the times, again, that is because infants have low immune system.

So that's it, that's one of my/her journey this week of being a mommy to a very darling living doll of mine, my baby love daughter Sam. :-) Have a great day! :-)

postheadericon She is Eager to Talk

Everyday I see my daughter Sam growing, yes, she grows-up fast. I can't thank enough I am a homemaker. In this way as I am her own caregiver, I can see her every moves and developments as well as her weaknesses and lift her way up. She is just a sweetie. She gives me no headache when it comes to taking care of her. Many said I am so lucky to have her, and yes, I am!

Now that she's about a third quarter of a year old, she already knows how to say "mmmommmmy", "mmmmomma". I bet my DH is jealous with that. Ha! Hopefully soon she could also say "dada" or "daddy" so her daddy (my DH) won't get jealous. *wink*

When it is silent, no music, TV or anything, just me typing in a computer, she mumbles loud anything she can which is a sign of eagerness to talk. She's even imitating me when I say "huh".. hehe! So cutie my patotie. :-) I can't wait the time that she's imitating everything I say. Ah, having a child really makes difference. We just love her that much. :-) She's a darling.

postheadericon Singing 8 Months Baby

As of this time as I am writing this post, my friend C is waiting for us with my daughter so we can go to church before noon time. It's just passed nine o'clock in the morning, it is the best time to walk in the nearby church so it is not that warm for my baby. Alright, on the other side of my eyes, I am looking at my dear daughter on her crib. It seems she's been singing. She heard me singing most of the time. And now that it's silent, it's her time to shine. Ha! She's been making sounds and yeah, looks like she's singing. It's been a great music unto my ears. I love hearing it, in fact, it seems I have to dance now with her singing. Hemmm.. I have to park now, I can't help myself. Hep!

'Til next time. Thanks for your time and I hope I inspire, make your time fun and everything good in between. Have a great day! My baby Sam, likes to leave you her sweet and warm smile. ~hugs&kisses~

postheadericon Legs Position #4

Have you ever heard everywhere of a person saying, " she's in #4 " ? Yeah right, you can hear that everywhere when there's a beauty contest, money search and even in campuses, banks and alike. But we are dealing here with a mommy journey or a baby here, so maybe an appointment number or a rank in the family, maybe? Oops, not in the selection if that's what you are thinking. Ha! I know you are smarty, so you are saying, "what the h***, we are dealing with a legs here!" . Smile. :-) And you are right! I don't if every kiddos knows how to have a leg position #4 but my kiddie is doing it most of the time when her legs are lying of the same level. You already know how alert and energetic she is, to a point of she cannot settle still. :-) So yeah, she does most that #4! :-)

I just can remember as I put her in a stroller with her feet up (yes, she's facing me). She did the #4 all the way as we went downtown and back to our house, no matter how I changed it, she still put in that position.

How about you, have you seen kids like her? Isn't it cute to look at? ;-)

postheadericon Leg Hug

"Why you keep putting your legs all over my arm?" , a typical interrogation (question as commonly called) to my eight months (8 months+) infant every time she is having her formula. Oops, not only that time but most of the time when she is lying down like changing her in the changing table (or anywhere), playing on her feet, or just lying down. Really, sometimes I could feel the nuisance. Ha! But I find it cuteand sweet! It is just that her legs are heavy, you know I only have one arm to feed her pointing on her legs, so imagine one arm with two legs all over while carrying the bottle with formula. I am not complaining though. :-) One thing, did I tell you that it's not just on my arm but any part of my body which is near her legs? Ha! You bet!

My baby love, daughter Sam is so energetic and very alert at this age of her. Good thing she is not that type of baby who loves to be carried all-the-time. I am so proud and blessed to have this precious little lady of mine. :-) She is growing fast everyday and I cannot be happier of watching her growing every second each day. I love much my pretty cutie patotie. :-) Happy mommy me! :-)

postheadericon Finding a Suitable Stroller for Your Baby

Strollers come in different shapes and sizes and although choosing one can be time consuming and confusing at times, parents must really take the time to make sure that they have purchased the most suitable on for their baby or toddler. A stroller is very useful whenever you want to take your baby with you while having your journey like walking to the park or running some errands such as doing your weekly grocery shopping. Before going to the store to shop for a stroller or twin prams, you need to set your own budget so that you can narrow down your choices.

Look into strollers that are within the price range that you have set. Know which type of stroller you need, like whether you need a single stroller or twin prams for your twins. Strollers should have a canopy that can protect your child from the sun or the rain. Some of the latest models even have detachable canopies or hoods. The wheels should allow you to easily maneuver the stroller and should have a brake system to safely keep the stroller in place. Check the handle and the harness to ensure that you baby is secured and stays in place. Make sure that you inspect the stroller thoroughly so that you are assured that your baby only gets to use quality strollers.

postheadericon My Sam Visited My Dentist

Yes, this mommy of hers had her dental appointment last Friday and I was there keeping it. I had been called several times just to have an appointment and finally I said yes and that was it. The staffs in the front desk were dying to see my daughter, they even called my husband and asked about it. And they got what they requested. :-)

I am a proud mommy of my baby Sam. She is in-demand. Ha! As much as she is a precious one, she also is a very sweet little girl. They kept telling her how gorgeous she is, well, that's what babies are, don't you think so? Smile. :-)

And I had my dental work. Aside from cleaning, I got two composite teeth cavities so I had to let my dentist did it same day. You know, most of my teeth have fillings so to avoid more fillings, had to do such right away.  My daughter by the way stayed for a couple of minutes after she entertained the front desk staffs. :-) She had fun as had fun with her daddy as well at home waiting my call for picking me up. :-) Great day!

postheadericon Sleeping on Her Tummy

The mommy of me knows that newborns should sleep on their back. It is what everyone told and of course I obey it. It is for her good, and good for me too. A mommy prioritize her child above all the chores and alike. Her baby is her apple of her eyes and I couldn't agree more since it is explained very well and yes, the best!

First of all, my daughter is not a newborn or neonatal no more. She is already an infant. As much as I like her to sleep on her back but sometimes she sleeps in different position just like sleeping on her tummy, sleeping the sideways or even kneeling with her knees in bed and butt in upward position (just only few times, or I had only seen by daughter) or sleeps on her right side with her hands together just like praying which I find it cute. :-) And I can see no problem on it since she can already roll back and does her instinct (like crying) when something's not right.

What about you, is your baby love like this when she's/he's in the six months onward? How do you like it?
