postheadericon My Infant's First Word

" Mama " from " mmma..mmamm (mamam) " is her first word. She utters it during her five months developments. Just days before this day she began uttering such word. Yes, she babbles a lot. Among of it are: " nnge^-nge^, " wawwa " and I don't know what word she is going to utter of those. What is clear now is that she now know to tell "mama" .. ha! Just a happy momma I am. Every voice I heard came from her mouth is just a song to my ears. Even her gleefully shouts, laughs, coos and alike. Who would not be happy and amazed hearing such in an infant like her? Not me. She always surprises me. And when we play on her, she would gleefully raise her voice surprisingly. Happy us, yeah! Who wouldn't? Smiles, laughters and tears. Ah, I don't care the latter. I just have to focus on the happiness it brought to us and all the body aches and such would go away. What a life, great and fulfilling life! Whew! God is great! Let us rejoice. Please be happy for me. ;-) I won't going to hide my happiness journey thinking there are " crabs " out there who would be jealous. Ha! I know not you. Thanks!

postheadericon Travel channel

(Contribution by Kennith Griffin)

Ever since we went to satellitetvlaredotx.com and got satellite TV, we have been watching all these scientific shows. It is pretty cool because I don't feel like watching TV is so bad. All of the shows we end up watching are educational and so interesting. We end up learning a lot! One of our favorites is 'How It's Made'. You would be amazed at how many steps go into making something. We were watching how to make a pocket knife the other night and couldn't believe how many steps there were to a little pocket knife. We also love the travel channel. It is fun to watch a show about a city and then visit it later in the year. We will plan a whole vacation off of an episode that we saw on the travel channel. We are not the most adventurous people. We like to see what exactly we will be doing before we go somewhere. I think our next destination will be to California. I have never been and I really want to go to San Fransisco.

postheadericon Rolled-Over

An infant's activity is unique. Her/His actions might be the same or different to other infants but with the power of its uniqueness, what makes it intriguing and thrilling. Whew! What about roll-over activity? As what we knew, most (if not all) infants underwent roll-over or yet to do. As experienced mom said, some rolled-over early and some late (but beware of the late because it is a signal of something). And what about how many months is a particular infant roll-over?

In my daughter's case, it was today. At a particular time of 4:00 PM (date check: February 17, 2012) as I was in a nearby chair watching out of her in mat, I suddenly heard a voice of a bit crying. That's the time I saw her rolled-over for the first time. She cried because she was not able to take her right arm from her tummy. " Wow! " is my first reaction. Yes, I was happy and grabbed my digi-cam to take a picture of one of her firsts. After that, I happily told my husband about it even he was asleep, he has the right to know it. He was happy too. :-)

So that is it, just a little note for this day. A development of my dearie baby love.

postheadericon How To Survive a Heart Attack When Alone (from Renan Briones, I subscribed in FB)

I saw and read this in one of the interesting people in Facebook. And sure enough interesting people share interesting articles and this is one of it below (by the way, it has been said it is very much a pleasure of him to share it to everyone, so no further ado, am also sharing it here. It's up to your great intelligence to dig-up the rest of the this tip given):

Let's say it's 6.15pm and you're going home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself..!!

NOW HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE..

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously.

A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating.

The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital..
.

It's interesting for me as I have a heart baby. One day I could share this to her. What about you?

postheadericon Proper Lighting at Home

If you are a mom like me I bet you’d agree that proper lighting at home is one important weapon in your mommy arsenal. Imagine changing your little one’s diaper in the middle of the night under the dim light? Or can you picture giving you baby a bath in a badly lit bathroom? It can be complicated at least and disastrous and dangerous at best, either way, I bet no one wants to be caught up in either scenario. You’d probably agree that you can do your home chores and perform your motherly duties seamlessly if the lights are working perfectly in every corner of your home. So check out those pendant light fixtures and bulbs in the kitchen. You wouldn’t want to end up putting peppercorns in your dish instead of salt, would you? And while you are at it, you might as well make a quick check-up of all your outdoor lighting fixtures, you wouldn’t want to be groping in the dark in case your toddler who is just beginning to learn how to walk suddenly wanders into the yard, right?

Mommy if you cannot check these lights on your own, remind dad to do it regularly or better yet get someone who has technical know-how to check on your lights every few months to be sure that your home is perfectly lit any day anytime!

postheadericon Happy Valentines Day!

Moms, don’t let your mothering duties and endless home chores stop you from celebrating this romantic occasion. I bet you will find the time in between diaper changing and bottle-feeding to have a few hours alone with the husband and rekindle the romance to keep your relationship exciting and interesting, or just to remind each other why you chose him/her in the first place and why you end up married and with kids!

If you can ask your parents or your in-laws to look after the little one for a few hours while you and your man sneak out to town to watch a movie together or to have a romantic dinner together in one of your favorite restaurants (which you have not visited, by the way, since the baby arrived!). Or for a change, you might want to surprise your man with a bouquet of flowers delivered to his office. I bet he will be embarrassed but will be totally touched by your thoughtfulness, too! And who know, he might just end up buying you a dozen roses in your most favorite color, too!

postheadericon Holding As Just Like Pinching!

I gotta find that picture of baby Sam that holding stuffs as just like pinching. It is just so cute to see her holding or grabbing her shirts, toys and such. You would want to see more and more (well, like me *heh!) of her doing it. I cannot just have enough of looking at it. Of looking her doing that thing. I just wanna share because I feel and laugh every time she does it. Sometimes she would just look at me wondering why I laugh and just then smile with me. Ha!

Being with my baby love Sam is just priceless. I am always thankful of this time. This time that I am with her not the other way around, thinking that I am working and let her does things with other people. I am just thankful. She surprises me everyday. Good surprises, that is.

Can you share some surprises too? From you, or from your love one/s? I hope you are having a great time despite of the trials in life. Trials/sadness is a twin of happiness but we have to make the former is leading most of time. :-) Spread the positive vibe! Give good surprise!

postheadericon Drinking Her Milk

My baby love Sam was being mixed on her milk when she was in the hospital. That was one and a half month. She drank my breast-milk. I pumped out hard so she can have my breast-milk. Breast-milk is best for  babies so I made sure she got it. When she was home, I formula-feed her. Yes, all formula. Why? I have a lot of reasons (I give out my important decision after weighing both sides) and the latter won. No regrets. She wasn't been sick because I formula-feed her all.

Anyway, formula or breast-milk mix, she eats not a lot. Just enough and her doctor is okay with it. That's the important word I got and nothing else. As long as she is not sickly and all because of formula-all, that's all that matters. She is not fat infant which I want her to be, but since want is just a second of "like", and you now found the answer. :-)

She drinks not quite a lot and it's fine (not just from my thought but also from her doctor's thought). I give more of strength than standard babies who likes drinking their milk, but am fine. It's just that it's just the way it is. And I like when they said "you did a great job!" . :-) Who wouldn't  like that!? Don't you? Smile. :-)

postheadericon Mommy's Love of Waiting

Nope, I don't like the idea of waiting in general. When I was in school in my younger years, I seldom late in school. I don't like being tardy either. There came college life, I then started don't like waiting. So I have to carefully manage time so I can be in the classroom on-time. No waiting of the teacher, that is. Besides, I have household works. Alright, include that of waiting anywhere, in appointments, works. Ha! It's just don't makes sense if you can manage of being on-time or a little of earlier but not so early when in fact, one can allot that time to do something useful. Now here comes being a mommy. Yes, this is my first time of being a mommy yet I can wait just for my baby love. Nope, not from other person (of course important ones exempted of that) but of giving her milk.

Yes, it has been said that once a milk in a bottle already tested through her tongue, such considered the first second of counting to an hour, after that it has to be discarded. The highlight of that, it has to be given within 20-30 minutes. That's what I was told by the professionals. Copy that! But there's one thing I have in mind (since am shy of asking), I just have to use my intuition to which if not very sure, I have to ask the professionals (like RN, etc) without shame. Oops, such intuition works, I should have to be given within 20 minutes in one setting. Meaning, I can still give it to her another 20 minutes or until an hour! And that's what am doing, not the way when we (my child with me) were in the hospital. Well, there was a machine to push into her tummy after 20 minutes and here at home, none. So I have to use that one hour, breaks are reasonable since she has difficulty of consuming her milk all at once. You know, a heart baby. So, this is the mommy's love of waiting. The one hour of waiting between breaks, just to please her.

It isn't great but fulfilling!
