Parents or mothers will do what they want for their kids, but I was told not to spend a lot of money for my child’s shoes. Their feet just grow too quickly. Hand-me-down shoes make sense within a family, but you are probably not going to be happy about buying second-hand shoes for your child. We are not rich, but I would rather like to buy brand new shoes for my daughter than buying second-hand shoes, though she has also such. Hand-me-down is fine with me, as long as I know the previous owner of the shoes. Other second-hand stuffs, on the other hand, are sometimes not safe for your child’s health. Lice or other insects could easily hide inside it. And for sure, you will not check every part of it when you shop or maybe you forgot most of the times. Even if there are stuff cleaning products in the market, it is still better to buy a new one for your child or children (though I could also not blame those who likes to have it since I also does it sometimes). Anyway, happy shopping everyone! Enjoy! :)
While Sarah is sleeping, I have time to do my online activities. Talking about online activitites such as updating my blogs, visiting my virtual friends on Facebook, or talking with my family back home. And if I still have time, I tried to search for baby clothes again. Sarah has lots of baby clothes but I couldn't help myself not to shop for her clothes, accessories and even toys. I wouldn't mind if I don’t shop for myself. I just love to see cute baby stuffs for her and if only Sarah has long hair, I so love those hair accessories which I have found online. Anyway, cute hair clips will do on her hair, but I am scared if she pulls it and plays with it. I know it is not safe for Sarah to play hair clips.
I also found cute stuff toys at the store nearby and I wanted to buy it if money is available. DH always remind me not to shop too many clothes for Sarah because she couldn't wear it for the long time because babies grow so fast, and I agree with him. Even so, honestly, I still shop Sarah’s clothes, and I sometimes hide it. Ha! A few days later, hubby will know it but he can do nothing but to smile when he sees that her daughter is so lovely with her new dress. :-)
It is still Sunday. Though it is already night and soon enough this day gonna pass, I can only say it is still Easter Sunday. :-) What have you done lately folks? For sure, foods were served. Bonding with family and friends are one point in celebrating this special Sunday as we are commemorating Christ Jesus' rise. Yes, Jesus has risen! Hooray! And so I just want to say Happy Easter to everyone!
As to my end, I had a long night, sleepless night again. So I have to get my energy back by sleeping at day time and I have no regret about it though, I can only wish I did some food preparations and church visit. My plan was just going to one of the great restaurants in downtown. It is totally something but in the afternoon, my daughter who wears her lucky lamb outfit and I dressed-up went downtown and saw the beauty of our city. Okay, the place is just 10-15 minutes away from our house. And my friend buddy has a duty for this day. I end up going with my daughter. My daughter got a lot of compliments on her outfit (both offline and online friends and family circles especially in Facebook to which I posted the pictures first), thanks to
infant costumes that I stumbled upon. It got me in the right place. The catch was they also accepting review of any costume I choose. It is like, "okay, I am lucky this day" since I won't be able to shed any cents out of my pocket since they also shoulder the shipping! To me I am thinking I won't give any review if I don't like, I will just then return the product if something won't click on my end. But this is it! You bet, I like it! Nope, I love it! I thought at first the color is dark pink but I decided to give it a try since I like the style. And voila! The pink color isn't harsh at all (when I saw it in actual), it actually great for any skin color (I could just think). You know I am very much picky in colors. I make sure it fits to the skin color and such especially for my precious little one. She is an apple of my eye and I give everything I have for her. Now, there's an outlet for me to get her
more Anytime Costumes (not only for her but for me and her dad too, there are costumes for everyone) as I have to give my best that she's on her outfit whatever the occasion is. I believe a child should have every best thing to rekindle when they're already on their own. You know, when they can already understand and already on their own mind. I am a proud mom more when she's already big enough to appreciate life and events happened when she was still a little one. Isn't it great memories to think of? If not, then I don't know what you're thinking! Now is the time to show-off my beloved one and only precious daughter on her "Lucky Lamb" outfit through my mobile camera. (*click image/s to enlarge*)
Above is the Lucky Lamb in the House setting on her walker.
She was worried because she was given a fish instead of grasses.
The Lucky Lamb in the House is thinking she gotta find ideas on how to get her food rather than frowning, so instead, she's smiling (though momma wasn't able to capture her sweet smiles fronting *see pix below)!
The fat cheeks lucky lamb and momma went shopping to buy her milk, foods, ice cream and chocolates! Oh, her grasses (as she is a lamb on her outfit)? Ha! :-)
Happy Easter everyone! Smile. :-)
Hello mommies, daddies, aunts, grannies and everyone, do you commemorate Holy Week as part of your culture in church? In Church Calendar Cycle? How do you celebrate it? How do you like being part of it?
I don't know about you but Roman Catholics commemorate this time of their Church Calendar Cycle and it is one important event happened. To tell you what, this commemoration states the fact that Jesus suffered, died and was buried just to save us from our inherited sin from Adam and Eve. Then He rose again on the third day. This commemoration is unhappy memories but a good reflection once a year that human have to be grateful to HIM. And has to do great things to make Him happy as what we become is what our gift to Jesus. Since, this is important to most folks (either you are a Catholic believer or not), I would also take part especially the Easter Sunday event for my daughter. So I am preparing now her costume! Whew! This will be her first costume. :-) I am happy of looking forward to it! What could she be, a bunny or a lamb, perhaps? Make a guess!.. :-)
One baby stuff that I prepare is, baby clothing to which I am sure she will need after I deliver her in this world, the real world. I am on my steps of becoming a mom. Soon enough she will be here in my side, not on my womb anymore. In the midst of September is my due date. Now that is something to get excited. However, there is also something to get nervous. But that is the journey of being a mom. I just have to balance it, not too excited and not too nervous and alike. Or else I'll get pressured and will affect the baby-in-my-tummy.
Yes, I already bought baby stuffs, not just baby clothing but also baby blankets. It has been said and proven by many that cotton stuffs are much better than other kind of fabrics. Though not all what I bought are cottons but most of them are, or it contains mostly cotton. It would be best for her as newborn baby is very delicate as well as messy. So in time of washing, it would not be hard for the washing machine to take-out the dirt. :-) What could be better than that?
I feel the need of knowledge on how to keep my baby warm because she will be born on cold season. As I know even during summer time, newborn should have to be wrapped around because her body could not yet adjust to her surroundings. That means, double or triple the need when it is Fall especially Winter Season. Sure, we have the heater to heat us up but when it is time for pediatrician visit and such, that is very much essential. And I am not in favor of using heater to keep us warm 24 hours. So baby clothes and such have to fit the weather condition.Thankfully I have it already prepared.
I had a long day today. Yours truly thought of doing something in the computer but my mind was nowhere to find. I though of the baby clothes lying in the living room waiting to be ironed, folded and arranged for how many days. Well, let me just say it was just one day before going a week that it was being washed. Alright, I straightened them so I it's not hard to iron. I supposed not to iron it but I got a lesson learned. I should had not put the two loads of washed clothes in one dryer (blame it to the laundry area, only one dryer here in the complex, bad cheetah. Ha!) thinking I could save some quarters and time. But then, not! It doubled my work. When I had it one by one load in the dryer, ironing is no way for me because the dryer will straightened the clothes since it has a lot of space while it was spinning. All I supposed to do was then to fold it directly out from the dryer. And that's what a lesson to learn for me. But no regrets because, the damage has been done and I was running of time and quarters (to put in the dryer to function). DH even did the other two loads (four loads all which I made it into only three loads in the dryer) and was not able to come with me in the Birthing Class I had the other week (Wednesday) to attend such drying thing. Well, it was good for DH on the other hand that he was not able to come with me because he was just came from work for ten hours and was tired. And so that was it, I had it ironed overtime lately. My back hurts a bit and such but I was determined to finish it. All in all, that clothes was displayed for more than a month lying in our living room because I had it complete at the same time, it can be washed in one. There would be something coming but the important ones are already complete. The other good thing is our simple couch in the living is already free of baby clothes and my mind can already relax thinking about it already arranged and such. :-) This mommy-to-be done all that ironing, folding and arranging after 11 P.M. lately from 2 P.M. with two short naps, overtime eh?! I just had my siesta and snacks and will sleep in a minute. Whew! What a long and a bit of tiring day (thanks goodness am safe and sound) !
Plus size is very much different from obese. And I guess you already know that. My OB-GYN is very much particular with weight. She will tell her patients if she is already at the neck of going overweight or overweight itself. But that does not mean big women are overweight, okay? As what I know, this depends unto her height and the structure. Afar from that, I do not know where it leads or should I say I would just not say anything but plus size women need
plus size dresses to fit for their measurement. If you have the 12W-44W measurement, then I suggest you may like to check out Roamans E-Store for such and indulge the different style of clothing and other women accessories for your need (as well as your wants/luxury). Women deserves luxury as well, so worry-not if you have bucks to back-up for such to get your own. *smile*
As for me as a mommy-to-be, being a mommy does not mean being plus-size but if our body expands (to which I always hear from my mommy friends, hopefully height expands too), then that will be the time that we then need a plus size dresses. We should not worry about that, but the bucks to pay for it because all the clothes we have will be undersized and that means, new clothes and others! Otherwise, not a biggie deal because plus size clothing are just right in the corner. :-)
If you follow me along my posts, you already know I just did my shopping thing for my incoming-baby. It was an overwhelming moment, I did not know I bought much of her needs. This mommy-to-be had a list of things to buy and even put how many pieces should I have to get. I was even told not to buy a lot since she will outgrow it fast. I shop at two stores at different days, that's my excuse, ha! Why? Because if it's in one store only, I can see how many are they and can control. Waaaahh! Acceptable? Not! I know. After the major shopping, I put all the dresses together (NewBorn up to 9 months) as well as the gifts given by my precious friends excluding the 12 years clothes up to toddler (just only few of them) and I startled upon seeing of it. Maybe not much of you but for me, it is already much for her basic clothes. And yep, the costs of it too! Waaaa! The bad thing is most of it (only 5 pairs have tags left) I already took-off the tags so I can no longer return it. Bad! I can see myself kept looking at it (it's in the couch because I am preparing it to wash so I can see it always and I don't want to wash it yet because it's not yet in time. I schedule my chores you know) and just calm down myself, instead being positive about it. After all, she's my first baby and wanted to have second baby too. :-) Hoping it's still a girl but am more of a boy for the second one to make it pair. But then who knows? :-) Anyway, that's my journey of buying stuffs for my first baby as being a first-time mom. It is a tedious task! I have to imagine how many months she will be that time and her weight.
