postheadericon Child’s Shoes

Parents or mothers will do what they want for their kids, but I was told not to spend a lot of money for my child’s shoes. Their feet just grow too quickly. Hand-me-down shoes make sense within a family, but you are probably not going to be happy about buying second-hand shoes for your child. We are not rich, but I would rather like to buy brand new shoes for my daughter than buying second-hand shoes, though she has also such. Hand-me-down is fine with me, as long as I know the previous owner of the shoes. Other second-hand stuffs, on the other hand, are sometimes not safe for your child’s health. Lice or other insects could easily hide inside it. And for sure, you will not check every part of it when you shop or maybe you forgot most of the times. Even if there are stuff cleaning products in the market, it is still better to buy a new one for your child or children (though I could also not blame those who likes to have it since I also does it sometimes). Anyway, happy shopping everyone! Enjoy! :)

postheadericon Cute Stuffs for Baby Sarah

While Sarah is sleeping, I have time to do my online activities. Talking about online activitites such as updating my blogs, visiting my virtual friends on Facebook, or talking with my family back home. And if I still have time, I tried to search for baby clothes again. Sarah has lots of baby clothes but I couldn't help myself not to shop for her clothes, accessories and even toys. I wouldn't mind if I don’t shop for myself. I just love to see cute baby stuffs for her and if only Sarah has long hair, I so love those hair accessories which I have found online. Anyway, cute hair clips will do on her hair, but I am scared if she pulls it and plays with it. I know it is not safe for Sarah to play hair clips. I also found cute stuff toys at the store nearby and I wanted to buy it if money is available. DH always remind me not to shop too many clothes for Sarah because she couldn't wear it for the long time because babies grow so fast, and I agree with him. Even so, honestly, I still shop Sarah’s clothes, and I sometimes hide it. Ha! A few days later, hubby will know it but he can do nothing but to smile when he sees that her daughter is so lovely with her new dress. :-)

postheadericon Finding a Suitable Stroller for Your Baby

Strollers come in different shapes and sizes and although choosing one can be time consuming and confusing at times, parents must really take the time to make sure that they have purchased the most suitable on for their baby or toddler. A stroller is very useful whenever you want to take your baby with you while having your journey like walking to the park or running some errands such as doing your weekly grocery shopping. Before going to the store to shop for a stroller or twin prams, you need to set your own budget so that you can narrow down your choices.

Look into strollers that are within the price range that you have set. Know which type of stroller you need, like whether you need a single stroller or twin prams for your twins. Strollers should have a canopy that can protect your child from the sun or the rain. Some of the latest models even have detachable canopies or hoods. The wheels should allow you to easily maneuver the stroller and should have a brake system to safely keep the stroller in place. Check the handle and the harness to ensure that you baby is secured and stays in place. Make sure that you inspect the stroller thoroughly so that you are assured that your baby only gets to use quality strollers.

postheadericon Hand-Me-Downs for the new Mom

If you are like most of us, you need to save money where you can. Having a child is expensive, far more so than you may ever think. Between diapers and medical bills you are going to run out of funds for the less essential items like baby monitors and toys very quickly. This is where hand-me-downs can get really important.

You should check with relatives who have had kids and ask if they have anything that they would be willing to lend, give or sell to you. You may be surprised what you are offered. I have seen people that had entire bedroom sets in storage from their kids that had since left the house and had their own children. I have even seen some people hold onto diapers for a long time after their children have been potty trained because diapers are like gold coin to a parent. They are precious things that you hold onto well beyond when you need them.

You can encourage that gift giving attitude if you offer to help clean out that attic where they keep all the old baby stuff. A little help in this way will benefit both of you. They get their attic or garage cleaned and you may wind up with fully working baby monitors that you no longer have to buy or some other expensive items that they couldn’t part with.

Once you are done with the baby items you should either ask if the people who gave them to you want them back or pass them on.

postheadericon On Her Jumperoo

This is baby Sam on her jumperoo (thanks to her Tita Aurelyn for giving it to her, how sweet she is). This was taken when was around her five months of age. That was last month. She likes this more by now because she know how to play the stuffs around this jumperoo. She already can sit by herself and stand (with support for the balance). I always put her shoes on before I put her in there. Just lately I found out she can likes to stand playing this toy of her. And the socks with spike-on helps. The shoes has no spikes (the area of her feet-on is plastic) so I better put the socks (yes she has several socks like those) than the shoes.

This jumperoo is a good exercise of her bones to grow stronger. Then later on for walking. Also for her mind. It's really a good start.

So, how do you like it? ;-)

postheadericon Jumperoo

Just a minute ago, a jumperoo came out on my mind. Yes, I saw a post of my friend to her friend baby how she likes being in a jumperoo. Then I thought of my baby love. She likes to straighten her body, as in she likes to enjoy standing-up. As much as she likes to stand, but she can't yet. She has a jumpster (which was given by my baby shower host, her Tita Dorie, thanks Dor) but since we don't have a stuff to hang it on, I like to think jumperoo is good for her. Why not, right? And I search for some. I already had an idea how much is it and some other stuffs related to it, in lieu of such if I don't like grabbing that color. Ooh well. I now need bucks. Ha! Not a good thought because it needs to spend but that's what money is, to spend for a need or a little want (if you have a lot, then you can spend on your much wants. Ha! Unfortunately, our standing is on the first phrase. So it's still not bad, I think.). I like to give her what she needs. And this one is one need (or again, a little want) so let's just see what I can come up. I don't want to end up buying like her cute pink bassinet, Dr. Brown's electric sterilizer and some others that end up returning or worse, it's just in the corner after first time use. Ah! Think, think, think! Have a great Sunday everyone! :-)
