postheadericon So Handsful

Being a mommy is not an easy journey. You may only know it if you already become a mommy or journeying as a mommy. I am talking here about being responsible. Once you become a mom, you can attest to through experience of how difficult it is especially if you don't have a family near to help you out with the task/s or even just to baby sit for some time (baby sitting is what I like with my close relatives kids way back when I was still near with my family. So sad I am far from them now. I can only imagine how helpful having a loving family near.

Now, that I can say I am alone (because I don't have any family circles who can help me in times if I want to have a break for myself in a random time) taking care of my precious daughter Sam. I am not complaining okay, I am just reminiscing and imagining they're here near me. Smile. :-)

My friend even ask me if I already goes to work since I said, I am adjusting my time. I meant that as being handful with my little one especially that she got out from hospital (she was there for about two months). She is still on her adjusting time and such at home. So I have to be with her always as I can. I also need to cook you know, to eat, do the house chores like cleaning the kitchen, cleaning all over and everything, washing, vacuum, and etc.

Hemmm.. a journey being a mom isn't easy but I think, very rewarding one.

postheadericon Home Sweet Home

I have always believed that there’s no place like home. Most especially now that I already have a family of my own. I just want a place where I can decorate and arrange the way I want and more importantly, a place where I can be a wife to my husband and a mom to my children.

It is our ultimate dream to have a house where we can raise a beautiful family and call it a home. Sometimes, it doesn’t really matter if it is the palace-like house that we used to dream, at the point when we become fed up of renting; a small house that we can call our own feels like a heaven.

Even here in the United States, not everybody can afford the luxurious way of life but it is a good thing that there are companies that offer low income housing. There's such company which helps needy individuals and families to find available low income housing units across the country in all 50 states. Their web site lists more than 50,000 available properties, and also offers FAQs concerning low income housing and other related issues.

The size of the house doesn’t really matter to me now. As long as it is full of laughter and love shared by my family, then it is for me a “home sweet home.” Ain't it a happy family journey? :-)

postheadericon Making Sounds, Imitating, Following

This Sam of mine is always on-the-go of making sounds at eleven months. Okay, not all the time, I am just pointing-out the time that she's of just herself. Well, not mostly, she also does it it even at the crowded voices of my husband and I and even with the sounds of an electronic. Whenever she feels like babbling, she does all the way. Ha! I like hearing those babbles and such. Even the shouting, I love it! It just shows that she is learning how to talk.

Aside from making sounds, she is also into imitating of what I am doing. Like playing with her, she is doing what I am doing and laugh after such. Yes, she loves playing. I can only wish of 24/7 being beside her (without eating, cleaning myself, cleaning the house, etc) to play all the way. Ha!

She can even follow what I like her to do. Okay, not yet of doing chores, alright? Wink. ;-) Just like doing peek-a-boo, passing things from her hand to my hand, doing snort like a pig, beautiful eyes, give-me-five, and many more stuffs she likes and laugh at the end of an activity. I find it cute, if not, then I do not know what you are thinking. Ha! Smile. :-)

postheadericon Printable Worksheets

Being the first teacher of my child, I also need to be creative knowing that training in schools these days have dramatically transformed into a more rigorous one. So, as much as possible I have to make extra efforts to prepare my daughter for formal schooling. I am just glad that free educational printables are available in the net these days one of which is scholastic printables.

Scholastic Printables provides access to over 15,000 teaching worksheets and printable resources for students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Their Printable Worksheets offer a wide range of topics to cover all subjects and themes throughout the school year, while supplying everything everyone’s need to teach an integrated curriculum. Their printables can be used for in class curriculums, home schooling, or enhancing and complementing children's education before and after school.

With this, being a mom teacher is no longer that burdensome.

postheadericon Ways to Refresh Your Look

Oh yes! Time for beauty tips and ideas mommies. Just finish bathing and ready to read news. I use to read news when I find time. So guess what I found tonight? It's the way on how to refresh your look. Having same style from head to toe everyday is really boring. It is always good to find a change. I read along that having new haircut can bring glory to your look. I agree with this, I am really planning to have a haircut soon. I just have to find good timing. Another one is to try on a bold shade of lipstick this will enhance your look too. I am not into putting up lipstick but this tip is great too. Right? And if you use to put on make-up blend it with another color or use another way of shading up your face. The last one considered having bangs or lash extension, this is exciting. I am really planning to have bangs this time and maybe add to put on lash extension. Hemmm.. Hope that this simple tips would help you to be more seductive and beautiful. :-)

postheadericon Wedding History

A wedding is one of the most significant milestones in a couple's life journey to be celebrated. While some couples would rather make the ceremony simple and exclusive only for immediate family and close friends, there are also those who prefer a grand and luxurious wedding event. This tradition of spending during weddings dates back to ancient times according to Moissanite. Thus, a wedding, no matter how simple or grand it is, still the common factor between the two is money. It is for this reason that a wedding happens after a long time of preparation and saving except if the couple are heirs and heiress of massive wealth or they belong to affluent families.

postheadericon Why You Need to Save for a Rainy Day

“Times are hard”. This has become a very common phrase these days, especially to a mommy like me. Alright, regardless of a person’s economic status (oops, this doesn't mean I am rich okay? Because I am not. Wink but seriously), you’ll hear the same phrase over and over again. In some ways, it has affected us all. It’s hard to get an opportunity or the needed break to be successful. It seems as though luck has become a very scarce commodity, if you can call it that. You know, we can’t rely on luck anymore in our entire life's journey. It is just a bonus if we can have luck.

At this point in our economy, we need to make decisive actions to endure this present economic situation. We are in a tight spot. But instead of being reactive, it is best to be responsive. So how do we respond in this predicament? As ridiculously simple and basic as this is, there is no better solution but to save. Yes, we got to have a savings account especially for the rainy days.

One factor that contributes to our personal financial problems is actually our spending habits. We need something that will check the way we spend. One advantage of having a savings account is that it will help us in monitoring and checking our budgeting allocations, thus, helping us to spend more wisely and efficiently.

Savings accounts can give us a lot of benefits as well, depending on the bank that you plan to open your account with. This is one way to ensure your finances, and of course, your future. Financial discipline is one thing that we need to have in these difficult times. We have to be wise in handling our financial resources. We must do what we must to secure our own and our family’s future.

postheadericon Give the Best Education to Your Child

My daughter is still too small to talk about education for now, but as early as now, to tell you  what I already think about it, her future, specially her education. As a mom, I am occupied of  making plans for my daughter, on her journey (not just now, in the coming days but in the coming years too when she's on her own). My husband delegate me as to plan  what is best of our dear angel, of course with his approval. Planning ahead of time is perfect, you can think best and can prepared too! I think all moms or parents out there has the same goal for their kids. So I am just hoping that everything will be fine and I am really willing to support in whatever path my Sam would take. I am just thankful that hubby has no problem of me to manage and train my little one, the way we want her to be. On the other hand, hubby support financially and thankful that he knows his responsibilities as a dad.

Well, education plays a big role in our life. If you are educated, you can have the best in life. You are holding big plus from the others. So teach your kids properly and tell them how important to have education!

postheadericon Breast Pain: A Common Menopause Symptom

(Guest post)

Menopause is not something that women look forward to. In fact, it's particularly dreading to most women thanks to the fact that there are so many symptoms and side effects involved with this life altering experience. Anything from weight gain, to thinning hair, to breaking nails can all be results of menopause. Many menopausal women will even experience breast pain as an added factor to this frustrating time in their lives.

Breast pain is not uncommon among menopausal women, as well as those approaching menopause who are in the perimenopause state, in which tenderness in the breasts can be most predominant. This pain typically gives no warnings to an unsuspecting woman, so that just makes it all the worse.

So why does pain this occur? Just like with all of the other well known symptoms, breast pain is related to menopause in credit to the hormones that are basically going crazy. The primary female hormones in particular, progesterone and estrogen, are out of whack, if you will. It's during this time that they will become imbalanced, and eventually during menopause, they will significantly drop.

During perimenopause, as these hormones fluctuate, progesterone and estrogen both begin to lose their timing and their control over what goes on in a woman's cycle. Before they decline, they will become greatly imbalanced, so during the perimenopause stage, some women may have spiked levels of these hormones, while others will automatically have incredibly low levels. As a result of both of these hormones not being in syn with one another, several symptoms, such as breast pain, may occur.

Unfortunately, the feelings of pain and tenderness in the breasts can be severe. The pain will of course, differ from each woman, but many cases are reported in which tenderness is almost unbearable at times. Some women may not even be able to put their bras on without extreme discomfort, while some report having to sleep on their backs during this time as the pain is just too much for them to take.

Luckily, here are a couple great ways of trying to combat this issue:

Yoga: Some women will start yoga classes as a way to relieve stress. This can potentially help you to stay clear of breast tenderness in the future, if you begin this particularly before you enter menopause. But don't worry, it's also a great stress reliever to menopausal women as well.

Diet: Menopause relief seems to come down to a healthy diet. Your physical state and mental state can both be improved by eating nutritious foods. That being said, one great thing to add to your diet are foods high in estrogen, such as soy, rice, yams, alfalfa, cherries, wheat, and many many others.

Exercise: Yet another popular way of relieving menopausal symptoms is to workout everyday. So, the great thing about keeping to a workout schedule, is that it will not only help in the long run with tender breasts, but it can also help to soothe other symptoms related to menopause.

Breast pain is all too common in women who are experiencing perimenpause and menopause. Fortunately, taking these steps will take you on the right path to reducing breast tenderness in the future.

postheadericon Mom's Journey to Good Health

Motherhood is maybe one of the greatest and most challenging journeys that a woman could ever experience. Her whole being as a woman will never be complete until she becomes a mom. Daily routine may be tiresome but taking care of the husband, kids and the whole household is not just an obligation for her but a mission that needs to be done with diligence, love and proper care.

Shopping, as we all know is the most stress-reliever for women and of course that includes moms too. Aside from shopping, moms are also into healthy diets; not just to have good health but also to have a pleasing physical appearance that they can be proud of. To make it possible, they are usually into slow carb diet with mostly pasta and bread as their main food. Being in a diet is a sacrifice worth doing for good health and for many good things for the mom and her family.

Embracing the totality of motherhood is indeed a great sacrifice from pregnancy, to giving birth and raising the kids. A lot of times, she would set aside her own needs aside especially taking care of herself to the point of neglecting not just her physical being but her whole self as well. But when she comes to her senses, a mother is good in multitasking and doing things in balance. So after taking care of everything, she spends time for herself too.

postheadericon Finding What to Post

I am not good in posting a lot at the same time if I am not of a jolly mood, or have much of time. Today, just got the courage to do more than normal. Well, in this busy mommy days. Simply means that, I have time and my mind is working well. Sometimes I cannot avoid of being blank (you know what I mean, most use the word "writer's block") and cannot write what is on my mind. The laziness sometimes attacks you know. Normal for individual I think. Ha! So I am normal. Whew! Grin. Anyway guys, today is a very calm day though it is humid. So not good to go for a walk with Sam. So just inside our abode, doing same routine in the house and playing with Sam then writing sometimes. So this combination works very well. My mind is relax and the writing goes very well. As you can noticed I have some updates here so meaning I am working and kicking. Ha!

Well, have a wonderful day everyone! Hope I am in this kind of mood always, or the time-management and my body can hold the never-ending chores everyday. Will see what will happen next time. Wink. This mommy is alive and kicking! Ha! Smile.

postheadericon Affordable Health Insurance

As my lovely daughter grows bigger and bigger, I believe it is just right to start planning for her future journey especially that we do not know what will happen tomorrow. With the fact that we all know that life is full of uncertainties and no one knows what lies ahead of us, so there is no right time to start preparing for her future but now. So hubby and I were talking about getting her a health insurance just in case some untoward circumstances (crossing fingers and not praying for it) might happen, then came the dilemma of where to start looking for an affordable health insurance. Knowing about Obamacare, I think this web site helps me and the people better understand of what is it about and can help find assistance in any state where I/we live. What could be better?!

Alright, since I have been on the Internet for most of the day, being a full-time stay at home mom, I stumble in a company that for me is straight forward in helping people find the right and appropriate health insurance. They also laid down various alternatives for you to choose so you can easily decide the best options that you should take wherever state you are located. And nowadays, it is just so easy to look for insurance quotes and services from reliable companies with the help of the Internet. It is great that it is no longer hard to get information before even showing up to sign the dotted line.
