postheadericon Everyday is A Miracle With my Daughter Sam

I take care of my little girl. I am a homemaker. A housewife. A Stay-At-Home-Wife. A Stay-At-Home-Mom. Whatever you call it. I am a full-time wife and mommy. I take care of my family 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week and 365 days a year. And I do not have regrets of being like this. In fact, I am even very grateful of what I am now. Of what I have now. I have a beautiful daughter and a great husband. What more can I ask? :-) A happy me. A happy family I have. That is all that matters. There are trials but that is normal in life. Life is not perfect but it is beautiful, very beautiful, that we have to see it. I believe of "count your blessings" , not the trials. Wink.

Whenever I look at my little lady Sam, I can always think of being with her is a miracle. Everyday is a miracle. God is so good that He let knowledgeable and talented people, great friends and family surrounds us. I am very much grateful everyday! This journey of life we have is just great. And this is all because of God. Almighty God is great, isn't He? Yes, He really is!

postheadericon Baby Responds

Not through talking but through actions and her tricks. Though she can already say "mamma" , "mammam" , or even "mommy" she cannot talk yet. Aside from saying such words, she responds and imitates me whenever I shout (of course just only in a little voice, or not that loud), make sounds like "hmm" , "huh" and to name just a few whenever I call her, as well as smiles and laughs at me. Those are just signs of responding me, answering me. That is interesting, isn't it? ;-)

Lately, she also has her own tricks and I do not know where she got it but she does it whenever she gets excited, happy, or sometimes do not like. It is her own way to which I now know. My Sam amazes me!

I will show you her video doing her own tricks or way next time. 'Til then. Have a great Monday everyone!

postheadericon Things To Do During a Cookie and Coffee Break

So it gets to 11.00am, or 3pm, and it's time for a break. Work's been tough, you've got fifteen minutes or half an hour free, but how to spend that time? Productively, unproductively? Here are some ideas:
First - it's essential that you get the food right. Noone wants to get to the end of a break and realise it's been wasted on bad food and a boring time. You could go to your local coffee shop, which has the downsides of a queue and social interaction, or you could make do with the coffee, milk and sugar in the staff room. It won't taste great but it'll be free.

Now if you haven't gone and bought some food, you'd be hard pushed to find anything worthwhile in a staff room biscuit tin, and if it's not Shelagh-in-accounting's leaving do, then you're stuck. Why not treat yourself and get your hands on a davids cookies discount code ?At this point you're going to need to go back in time to pick something up at home to take with you - or alternatively, if time travel isn't an option, just do this the next day.

Now your snacks are sorted out, what to do with your small amount of free time? One good idea, healthy for both the mind and the body, is to do some exercise. Go outside, go for a walk, and shake off the monotony of office life. You can easily tie in that diet you’ve always wanted to work on with your walk, check out these Weight Watchers coupons here . The fresh air and activity will stand you in great stead to sit in a swivel chair and pencil-push for four hours.
If you get on with your co-workers, then sitting around your desks or the staff room can be a great way to chill out and bond, and one of the positives is that if you need to, you can work through the break, whilst still chatting. Obviously, you might work in an office with people you loathe. In which case, avoid this paragraph.
For a more relaxed break away from colleagues, spend some time on Facebook - catch up on everyone else's holidays whilst you're stuck in Slough. Do some internet shopping - buy some old Cher vinyls just because it passes the time. And finally, for a truly great way to waste many minutes, go on Twitter. Warning: overuse of Twitter may result in losing your job.

A great way to spend a short break (one of the benefits being that you can eat at the same time) is to phone a friend for a catch-up. Phone that aunt that you need to speak to, or your friend who moved to Glasgow. Not only will this keep you entertained, but it's a good way to get off the computer for a few minutes.
What with the proliferation of ITV Player, iPlayer and the equivalent for most TV channels, a good way to get away from it all is to plug in some headphones and watch a show. Good programmes for the coffee break (it has to be using these tassimo codes here of course!)are the soaps, comedies or any old clips on Youtube. Just keep your programme suitable for when the boss walks past.
So grab yourself a cup and a cookie, pick something to relax you and enjoy your break. Before you know it, you'll be back to the grind again...

postheadericon Can Already Stand in Her Crib Rails from Sitting

Yay! I am just so happy tonight that I saw my baby daughter Sam can already stand on her own in the crib. Yes, in her crib, just about an hour ago and she continues to do it until now. I think she got fascinated of her new journey, that is why she keeps on doing it. Just because she can manage to do it. OMG! Supposed-to-be she should be sleeping now but she won't. Alright, we have to dim our home now and be silent so she would sleep. There are tomorrows anyway to do it again and again. :-)

I feel happy seeing her achievement. I call it "achievement" because she is doing it by herself. Now, it's easy for her to hold and crib rails and manage to stand just in the snap of my finger. Yes, we have to keep the rails high so when she's there standing she won't fall-off separate from the crib. It is okay for her to fall-down in the crib because there are bumpers all-over and the bed is soft and there are only soft teeth-er around which would not harm her. But of course, I do not like seeing her her falling down if not for a "normal" thing. Good thing, she is holding strong. But of course, I am always near her to support in case she feels uncomfortable or in difficult situations. Sometimes, a child needs to experience difficulty to be stronger, but of course, just sometimes.

She can already balance of sitting by her own when she was about six months and now about nine months, she can already stand in her crib from sitting. Doing such by holding the rails of the crib. Happy me! :-) When letting her sit and can grasp the crib rails (even if she's far from it), then expect that anytime from that, she is already standing. :-)

postheadericon Sleep Aid

Mommy's job is no ordinary. It is just a bonus if she has a helper or a good family circle to help her with the home chores. And not having mentioned the sleepless nights during her newborn's journey at the same she has to do the cooking, cleaning, laundry and the likes . That is a huge job. Now, if you think I am wrong, then I don't know what is on your mind. You must be a mother first or just be on my shoe and then you can judge. Or, ask most of the mommies, if not all of us. Ah ha! Which is which?

When it's on the sleepless nights journey, we just can wish to buy time so we can have a good sleep but then. On the other hand, if it's time to sleep, the opposite thoughts come in. And the jet-lag steals the time-being. Others tend to buy zopiclone online, one of the sleep aids when it comes to science. That is when natural ways won't effect. Or rather, mommies tend to choose such. As for me, I did not yet tried using the pills but I think if I need it, one day I would rather take such than be on the look-out as if always waiting of sleeping time but it's the opposite that occur. It would be a big trouble. So such is an option I would consider to if it would help.

Ah, it's really not easy being a mommy  but it is very much rewarding. It is just that we have to know how to deal with it.

postheadericon Crying When Seeing No One

My baby love, daughter Sam is now in transition from caring no one is around her or not, not likes to be with someone/everybody in the house. She gets irritated or crying when she cannot see me or anyone near her, most especially if you are playing with her then later you will go somewhere like to the comfort to pee or so, she cries. I found that cute and funny at times. Sometimes it is trouble since I have to tag her along wherever I am like in front of stove to boil water to warm her milk at the same time making her milk or to the comfort room. Nevertheless, she is a darling and I am complaining or minding of tagging her along with me everywhere as long as she is comfortable. Never mind my needs as long as she hers first. She is helpless without me, on the other hand, I can do everything like walking and alike, but not my Sam. An infant has just a low immune system. So I have to attain her needs or even her wants first than my needs.

She laughs and smiles a lot so that's a very big bonus to me. She never gets wary to anybody. But of course, infant should need to be away from the crowd  most of the times, again, that is because infants have low immune system.

So that's it, that's one of my/her journey this week of being a mommy to a very darling living doll of mine, my baby love daughter Sam. :-) Have a great day! :-)

postheadericon 6 Tips for Teaching Your Child How to Talk

It has been said that very young children are like sponges. During the first five years of life, a child's brain will grow more than at any other time. These early years are when children take in their surroundings, learning as much as they possibly can from the world around them. Every situation and experience that a young child has is an opportunity for him/her to learn. However, children still need guidance and direction when it comes to learning. Here are some tips on how parents can teach their children to talk.

1. The Environment

One of the most important tips in teaching a child to talk is providing the right environment for the child to learn. An environment where the child is exposed to a great deal of language such as talking, singing and reading to the child, will go a long way in getting the child to understand the importance of language and communication and, thus, to mimic its components. A child's environment also includes things such as regular check-ups with the pediatrician to make sure developmental milestones are being met, as well as adequate amounts of sleep and a healthy diet. When a child is well rested, he/she will be more attentive during learning times. A healthy diet will not only help the child to feel his/her best, but through eating and chewing foods with different textures, the child becomes better aware of how to control the muscles in the mouth.

2. Talk like a Child

Talking to the child is the next tip in enhancing language development. When a parent talks to a child, it is important that the parent speaks on the child's level. Young toddlers are better able to understand simple sentences or a few words, as opposed to more complex sentences. A child will also be more likely to listen and respond when talking about a subject that interests him/her. Parents may also find that certain times of the day are better to engage a child than others.

3. Read Aloud

Reading aloud to a child from infancy is also a way to get the child used to language. Some mothers-to-be start to read or sing to their unborn babies during pregnancy. Whether reading aloud the newspaper or talking to a baby while doing laundry, the child is being exposed to language on a daily basis.

4. Be Positive

Positive reinforcement is important when trying to teach children anything new. When a child starts to babble and make new sounds, it is always a good idea to reinforce this behavior with encouragement. If the baby sees that this behavior is pleasing the parent, he/she will be more willing to continue making new sounds.

5. Be Repetitive

Children learn through repetition. Playing games with the baby, using flashcards and forming routines when trying to teach language are a good way to teach a child language skills. The child will get used to the repetition of the same words, phrases and routines on a daily basis.

6. Explain The Meaning

The final tip for teaching a child to talk is to use appropriate words when conversing with the child. If a child says "baba", respond to the child using the word " bottle" instead. Children may also use one term to refer to many similar things. It is important to explain the meaning of each different word. Soon, the child will start to differentiate on his/her own. The most important part of teaching a child to speak is to talk to him/her. The more the child is exposed to language, the more he/she will mimic the behavior on his/her own.

postheadericon She is Eager to Talk

Everyday I see my daughter Sam growing, yes, she grows-up fast. I can't thank enough I am a homemaker. In this way as I am her own caregiver, I can see her every moves and developments as well as her weaknesses and lift her way up. She is just a sweetie. She gives me no headache when it comes to taking care of her. Many said I am so lucky to have her, and yes, I am!

Now that she's about a third quarter of a year old, she already knows how to say "mmmommmmy", "mmmmomma". I bet my DH is jealous with that. Ha! Hopefully soon she could also say "dada" or "daddy" so her daddy (my DH) won't get jealous. *wink*

When it is silent, no music, TV or anything, just me typing in a computer, she mumbles loud anything she can which is a sign of eagerness to talk. She's even imitating me when I say "huh".. hehe! So cutie my patotie. :-) I can't wait the time that she's imitating everything I say. Ah, having a child really makes difference. We just love her that much. :-) She's a darling.

postheadericon Choosing the Perfect Travel Destinations

When mommy/ies and everyone wants to know about a certain place, we often browse through books or travel magazines, or go online and visit different websites to get the information we need in our plan for travel journey. Although reading about them provides us with an idea of what these places are, being able to visit them is a whole new experience. Traveling has provided people with a whole new perspective of the world. Being able to visit a place and see all its different unique tourist spots, is more beneficial than just seeing their photos at books and magazines. Traveling also enhances a person’s communication skills. Although being fluent in a certain language is not required, the ability of being able to communicate t locals will make their travel experience more fruitful.

There are various travel destinations that we can choose from. It really depends on what we want to do or experience during our trip. Family friendly destinations, such as those that have theme parks, are ideal for families who want to travel together. More adventurous travelers can go to places that may not have the usual comforts.

First time travelers should make sure that they make all the necessary preparations before their actual trip. Aside from booking for their flight and accommodations in advance, they should make sure that they research all the essential information about the place that they’re visiting so that they will know what to expect. They should also know if there are certain things that are prohibited in the place that they’re going to. In some places, for instance, wearing clothes that are considered ‘immodest’ according to the country’s culture are not allowed. When a travel takes notes of such things, he will surely have a memorable travel experience.

postheadericon Singing 8 Months Baby

As of this time as I am writing this post, my friend C is waiting for us with my daughter so we can go to church before noon time. It's just passed nine o'clock in the morning, it is the best time to walk in the nearby church so it is not that warm for my baby. Alright, on the other side of my eyes, I am looking at my dear daughter on her crib. It seems she's been singing. She heard me singing most of the time. And now that it's silent, it's her time to shine. Ha! She's been making sounds and yeah, looks like she's singing. It's been a great music unto my ears. I love hearing it, in fact, it seems I have to dance now with her singing. Hemmm.. I have to park now, I can't help myself. Hep!

'Til next time. Thanks for your time and I hope I inspire, make your time fun and everything good in between. Have a great day! My baby Sam, likes to leave you her sweet and warm smile. ~hugs&kisses~

postheadericon Dating and My Little Princess

It might be a bit overboard to think about my little princess and dating all in the same stream of thought, but you know how mommy/ies tend to over-react and over-think everything sometimes. When it is her time, gone are the days of old-fashioned dating and courtships and in comes the modern high-tech way of dealing with things and stuffs. I bet they will have a wonderful time trying out fun dating sites online and she will have gone on a few of those before finally meeting the right person for her. Oh well, that is just thinking ahead of me. I will never know how to react when my little girl finally asks our permission to go out on dates. I might just have to fight the urge to turn her down. She will always be my baby after all and it would be hard to let her go out in to the world to spread her wings and find her own little place under the sun.

What do you think mommies, daddies and everyone there? :-) Ah, the joy of looking forward her/their  growing-up days. I can just think of the fun and the great ones. :-)

postheadericon Legs Position #4

Have you ever heard everywhere of a person saying, " she's in #4 " ? Yeah right, you can hear that everywhere when there's a beauty contest, money search and even in campuses, banks and alike. But we are dealing here with a mommy journey or a baby here, so maybe an appointment number or a rank in the family, maybe? Oops, not in the selection if that's what you are thinking. Ha! I know you are smarty, so you are saying, "what the h***, we are dealing with a legs here!" . Smile. :-) And you are right! I don't if every kiddos knows how to have a leg position #4 but my kiddie is doing it most of the time when her legs are lying of the same level. You already know how alert and energetic she is, to a point of she cannot settle still. :-) So yeah, she does most that #4! :-)

I just can remember as I put her in a stroller with her feet up (yes, she's facing me). She did the #4 all the way as we went downtown and back to our house, no matter how I changed it, she still put in that position.

How about you, have you seen kids like her? Isn't it cute to look at? ;-)

postheadericon Textbooks Renting, a Big Plus to Savvy College Students!

I can just imagine when I was still in intermediate up to my college years of how difficult having no enough textbooks for my curriculum. My grandparent cannot afford to buy all of them so I have to find ways how to get such so I won’t ended-up just like a soldier without a weapon, of going to school. You know what I meant. Textbooks are essentials for every student much more to college-goers. Either we have to buy it, borrow or rent! The middle way I mentioned isn’t advisable unless if the owner is just your close relative (even so). So the third way is just perfect to students and moms out there who want to save big bucks at the same time they have the essentials. Here in the US, College textbook rentals come in handy to assist you college-goers! Do you know all of that renting textbooks in Campus TextBook Rentals has many perks (aside of what I mentioned earlier)? If you don’t know yet, then you might like to follow through. And some of the perks are: (1)you can save 40-90% off of bookstore prices, (2) they are offering free shipping both ways, (3) you can highlight in the textbooks, (4) they offer flexible renting periods, (5) 30-Day Risk-Free Returns, (6) they have live customer support and more, just to name a few.

A big plus too, is that every textbook like the Business Principles and Management rented, they donate a portion to Operation Smile, “ an out of this world, awesome organization, that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it ”. How cool is that?! While you are helping yourself, you are also helping those children and families.

Check it out for yourself.

postheadericon Leg Hug

"Why you keep putting your legs all over my arm?" , a typical interrogation (question as commonly called) to my eight months (8 months+) infant every time she is having her formula. Oops, not only that time but most of the time when she is lying down like changing her in the changing table (or anywhere), playing on her feet, or just lying down. Really, sometimes I could feel the nuisance. Ha! But I find it cuteand sweet! It is just that her legs are heavy, you know I only have one arm to feed her pointing on her legs, so imagine one arm with two legs all over while carrying the bottle with formula. I am not complaining though. :-) One thing, did I tell you that it's not just on my arm but any part of my body which is near her legs? Ha! You bet!

My baby love, daughter Sam is so energetic and very alert at this age of her. Good thing she is not that type of baby who loves to be carried all-the-time. I am so proud and blessed to have this precious little lady of mine. :-) She is growing fast everyday and I cannot be happier of watching her growing every second each day. I love much my pretty cutie patotie. :-) Happy mommy me! :-)

postheadericon Finding a Suitable Stroller for Your Baby

Strollers come in different shapes and sizes and although choosing one can be time consuming and confusing at times, parents must really take the time to make sure that they have purchased the most suitable on for their baby or toddler. A stroller is very useful whenever you want to take your baby with you while having your journey like walking to the park or running some errands such as doing your weekly grocery shopping. Before going to the store to shop for a stroller or twin prams, you need to set your own budget so that you can narrow down your choices.

Look into strollers that are within the price range that you have set. Know which type of stroller you need, like whether you need a single stroller or twin prams for your twins. Strollers should have a canopy that can protect your child from the sun or the rain. Some of the latest models even have detachable canopies or hoods. The wheels should allow you to easily maneuver the stroller and should have a brake system to safely keep the stroller in place. Check the handle and the harness to ensure that you baby is secured and stays in place. Make sure that you inspect the stroller thoroughly so that you are assured that your baby only gets to use quality strollers.

postheadericon My Sam Visited My Dentist

Yes, this mommy of hers had her dental appointment last Friday and I was there keeping it. I had been called several times just to have an appointment and finally I said yes and that was it. The staffs in the front desk were dying to see my daughter, they even called my husband and asked about it. And they got what they requested. :-)

I am a proud mommy of my baby Sam. She is in-demand. Ha! As much as she is a precious one, she also is a very sweet little girl. They kept telling her how gorgeous she is, well, that's what babies are, don't you think so? Smile. :-)

And I had my dental work. Aside from cleaning, I got two composite teeth cavities so I had to let my dentist did it same day. You know, most of my teeth have fillings so to avoid more fillings, had to do such right away.  My daughter by the way stayed for a couple of minutes after she entertained the front desk staffs. :-) She had fun as had fun with her daddy as well at home waiting my call for picking me up. :-) Great day!

postheadericon Birthstone Jewelry Pieces are the Best Mothers Day Gifts

Choosing the best Mothers Day gifts that you can give to your mom can be very overwhelming. This is because you have to give something that is unique each year. Although giving the same gift is not prohibited, it will show your thoughtlessness and laziness in choosing the right gifts for her. Hence, you have to make sure that the gift is unique, new, have a personal touch and will like for a long period of time. One of the best gifts you can give is her birthstone embedded in jewelry pieces.

Deciding the Birthstone
It is very easy to decide the birthstone that you will give to your mother. Most of the time, it is best to give the birthstone of the month in which your mother was born. You can find a list of birthstones in most jewelry shops that sell birthstone jewelry pieces. There are 12 birthstones representing each month of the year. Starting from January to December, the birthstones are garnet, amethyst, aquamarine, diamond, emerald, pearl, ruby, peridot, blue sapphire, opal, citrine and blue topaz.

Deciding the Jewelry Setting
You can find numerous options when it comes to jewelry setting of a stone. You will find that pendants, rings and stud earrings made from silver or gold where you can embed your chosen birthstone. There are various designs of pendant such as family tree form, filigree, heart shape, beaded and many more. If your mother likes to wear wrist gears, then you can also give her a birthstone bracelet.
Another unique idea is to combine your birthstone with your mom's birthstone. Moreover, you can also combine all your sibling's birthstones in one jewelry piece in order to remind her of her children every time she looks at the gift.

Reasons for choosing birthstone jewelry
There are various reasons why it is best to give birthstone jewelry pieces as Mothers Day gifts. Firstly, it is a unique idea to give such gifts that are starting to become common in the past few years. Secondly, it includes a lot of thoughtfulness and gives the gift a high sentimental value. Moreover, it is proven the birthstones have their own astronomical, scientific and medical benefits. Also, birthstone jewelry is very affordable as compared to diamond jewelry, and it gives you a wide range of designs. Furthermore, your mom is most likely to wear birthstone jewelry on a daily basis as compared to a diamond necklace that will come out of the closet rarely. Lastly, birthstones are very colorful and beautiful on any outfit that your mom wears.
