If your daughter is playful and couldn’t stand still, that even if she is still a bit wobbly, still insists on crawling off the bed, walking, standing up in the crib, grabbing things off the table and even wiggling out of your arms when you carry her, she is prone to accident. So, what can you do to keep her safe?
Your toddler is in her discover the world stage, and you simply cannot stop her. Mommy, it is important to childproof your house at this time. Look at your house through the eyes of a toddler and find out where you need to take precautions. Below are the most common injuries toddlers in his/her journey suffers at home:
1. Bumps, bruises, and cuts.
2. Ingestion of foreign objects such as coins, buttons, nuts, pellets, cleaning fluids, medicine, etc.
3. Drowning or near-drowning
4. Burns from electrical outlets, appliances such as flat iron, cigarette butts, hot liquids and fire.
5. And animal bites.
So, keep an extra eye-ing of your toddler and yes, always childproof!
