postheadericon Spending Summer Outdoors

Summertime is that time again to spend a considerable amount of time outdoors, to ready your duffel bags and do not forget to bring your sun block, kick off the shoes for a more comfortable and colorful flip flops and put on those big sunnies to protect you from the sun’s rays.

The perfect destination to hit if you are on a budget and is traveling with the  little ones, is the neighborhood park. Let the children burn some pent up energies in the sandbox or in the park playground equipment. They can either take turns in the swing or play together in the seesaw. They can also rest and relax at the Park Benches while munching on packed sandwiches or other feast you have prepared sprawled in one of the Picnic Tables. They can also take sit side by side at one of those Adirondack chairs scattered around the park area while you take advantage of photo opportunities.

A trip to the nearby park is not only fun for the children or for mommy but for the parents as well. You can tag your best friend along and catch up what’s going on with each other’s lives while the kids play along. You can also try trekking for a bit of workout and sight seeing. Lots of fun to be at the local park, really!

postheadericon The Secret to Losing Pregnancy Weight

Having a child is truly a blessing and this new chapter on a woman’s life brings both excitement and uncertainties. One of the things that pregnant women need to endure is the nine months of waiting and as your body goes through a lot of changes during this period one inevitable thing is to gain some weight.

For some weight gain is not an issue but if you are determined to lose those pregnancy weights remember to do it the right away. Your body needs time to recuperate and adjust after childbirth hence it is important not to perform strenuous activities especially the weeks after giving birth. Here are some of the secrets on how to shed those pounds in a healthy manner: Eat in moderation. Do not go on a starvation mode because it will not do you any good. Remember that your body needs all the nutrients especially if you are breastfeeding. Do not deprive yourself with a healthy diet; rather eat your portions in moderation. Always stay hydrated by drinking a lot of water during the day. Avoid carbonated drinks and coffee and just switch to healthier alternatives such as fresh fruit juice and teas. A healthy and balanced diet could help your body recover faster.

If you are thinking about workout and exercise, it is better to consult with your doctor first. Let your physician know about your weight loss plan and determine if it’s too early to start working on it. Being back on the treadmill might not be a good idea but there are light household chores that could also help you sweat out and burn calories.

Just remember to always think about your safety and health before trying any diet or exercise regimen. In the end an advice from your doctor or fitness professional could help you plan the right way to lose pregnancy weight.

postheadericon 35 Weeks Pregnant

And no other than yours truly. Yes, I am 35 weeks and three (3) days pregnant today. And am having a lot of contractions (tightening of my tummy which can be a sign of false or real labor) but a false labor. Okay, am not yet on labor but could anytime have it. It's just that if it would happen, my baby is in premature state. So not good. I should keep away from stress and other activities that would get me into early labor.

Ooh well, few more weeks and am good to go. To deliver a baby is somewhat I don't want to imagine, well, not to worry. I have to keep in mind to relax so it won't pressure me especially in time of delivery.

By the way, I had my OB-GYN/doctor's visit/ prenatal last two days ago and it went fine. My doctor check my birth canal and some infection if there is. I do not know yet the result but she said, if no phone call from her, that means no problem. I hope nothing. I am confident. Chaarrr... ha! ;-) My baby's heartbeat by the way is 160 which is perfectly fine. My weight is 139.5 which is fine too as doctor said. As well as my blood pressure, no problem. Thanks goodness! Other than that, nothing else. I just have to count baby's movement three times a day and ten times in one session/hour. Meaning, she should move at least 30 times a day in total in morning, afternoon and evening! Whew! I have some shortness of breath, palpitation, backache but that is normal especially on this stage. Good luck to me! Smile.

postheadericon Dental Care

A family need a dentist, absolutely for dental care. Our teeth, is one of the important part of our five senses which need to take care of. If not, one day you will not know you will have an oral problem, if not an oral cancer, God forbid!. But that is the fact that we have to face if we will not take good care of our teeth. We need a dentist, the Best Dentist, we deserve and can rely on in times of cleaning, examination and any problem arises. And not only that, a dentist which listens to what we like to have. Someone who can  help us and we would not feel fearful of dental accessories and such, in time when it is needed.

For me, I would love to work with a company which is flexible with time. On-time and extended-time. In short, can be flexible. Knows how to treat clients, not the way that they treat you like a machine. Accommodating staff and dentist, is what everybody wants, don't you think? I bet you are trying to find (if haven't find yet) that company huh! Because I would love to have that too! That is perfect for my family or yours. Soon enough by mid of September, I will deliver the baby-in-my-tummy, our little one. I and DH then need advises from our dentist on how to take good care of our baby's teeth and when to go for dental care appointments. In that way, she will be healthy. Mommy/mommy-to-be have to do everything for her family and her little one.
